History
Salignac-Eyvigues is resulting from the fusion of three communes: Eybènes amalgamated with Eyvignes in 1827, then Eyvignes-and-Eybènes amalgamated with Salignac in 1965. Into 2001, the common one officially changed its name of Salignac-Eyvignes into Salignac-Eyvigues .Located at the borders of the Causse of Martel and the wooded slopes of Périgord, the village of Salignac is affirmed during the centuries like a crossing point between Quercy, the Limousin and Périgord Noir.
