Sale with the candle
The sale with the Bougie also called sale with the candle is a form of particular Adjudication since it consists in raising as long as two candles are lit. The bidding cease as soon as the two candles reached their term, which closes the biddings.
More precisely, this very old habit is done at the time of the closing bid. One then lights a small wick which, when it dies out, at the end of ten seconds, lets assemble a smoke. After its extinction, two other candles are lit. Arrived at the end of their combustion, if no other new bidding occurs during this time, the adjudication is marked with the profit of the last encherissor.
