Salamanders

The Salamanders are one of the chapters Space Marines most known in the Univers of fiction of Warhammer 40,000.

History

They draw enormously from the lessons learned by their primarque during his youth and they are excellent craftsmen. Their Primarque Vulkan died during the Hérésie of Horus, like good of others. They currently fight at the side of the chapters loyal supporters within the framework of the safeguard of the world of Cadia vis-a-vis the thirteenth Black Crusade of Abbadon the plague. They fought also much on Armageddon.

Organization

Put aside a great use of the fuseurs and flame throwers, the chapter follows the Codex Astartes. However the changing gravity of their world of drive makes that they have few occasions to involve itself for the fast attack (with the Land speeders or the marines of attack).

Colors

The current diagram is mainly green with some keys of black. When Games Workshop created them, they were black and yellow.

Others

They show courage in the engagements (even for of Space Marines) and they are very robust.
Salamanders are famous for their attachment particular to the weapons with fusion, with the lance-flames, associated with the worship prométhéen of the chapter.
