Of the Flaviviridae (of Latin flavus : yellow) is a family of Virus to ARN which infect the Mammifère S. It includes/understands the S following:
- Kind Flavivirus : Virus of the yellow fever, Virus of the Western Nile and Virus of the dengue
- Kind Hepacivirus : Virus of hepatitis C
- Kind Pestivirus : virus of the bovine viral Diarrhea (BVD), virus of the Swine-fever
The Flaviviridae have a Génome with linear ARN not segmented simple bit with positive polarity, length ranging between 9,6 and 12,3 Kilobase S. the Extrémité 5 ' of the genome of the Flavivirus carries a methylated cap Nucléotide , while the other members of this family do not have a cap and code a site of internal ribosome entry. The viral particles have a spherical envelope, of diameter ranging between 40 and 60 nanometers.
