Saint-series

Saint-Series is a common French, located in the department of the Herault and the area Languedoc-Roussillon. Its inhabitants is called Saint-Sériains.

Geography

Canton: LUNEL District: MONTPELLIER 3rd

Located at 6 km of LUNEL (in the south), 6 km of SOMMIERES (in north), 25 km of MONTPELLIER (in the west), 25 km OF NIMES (in the east), the village are sprinkled by the Vidourle.

History

Archeology testifies to a human presence at the age of iron. The first trace of the name of Saint Series appears in 1226: Sanctum Chererium. The war of the camisards brought large destruction and misfortunes.
