Saint-premium
Saint-Premium is a Canadian Municipalité Quebec located in the regional Municipalité of county of the Field-of-Roy the and the administrative area of the Saguenay-Lake-Saint-Jean. It is located between Roberval and Saint-Félicien.
With its 2.700 inhabitants, it contains some small treasures impossible to circumvent, its Perron cheese dairy celebrates all over the world with its cheese cheddar extremely, which was been used for the British nobility and its free municipal beach re-elected for its fresh and own water. A course of golf of 18 holes of which the ground borders the Lac Midsummer's Day there is also offered.
History
Saint-premium owes to its name with its first priest the abbot Prime Girard. The first dwelling was built in 1864 per François Lapierre. Stagnant population since 1928 (2000 inhabitants) it hardly increased with 2500 inhabitants in 1999.
Economy
Saint-premium is particularly recognized for its Fromagerie Perron, which produces an extremely famous cheddar in all Quebec.
The Lamontagne sawmill, acquired by Abitibi-Consolidated, like Maboco, Tanguay heavy equipment and the companies of trucks Volvo and Western Star are the marketing activities of the municipality.
