Saint-Valère (municipality)

Saint-Valère is a municipality of the regional Municipalité of county of Arthabaska, in the administrative area Center-of-Quebec, with the Quebec (Canada) from which the first inhabitants came to be established in 1835 there. It is located at the North-West of the municipality of Victoriaville.

The village has a territory extending on 108 km ² and counts 1.352 habitants 1 . Agriculture is the economic main activity of the municipality, which has also a fraisière and several huts with sugar. The mairess names Therese Domingue, who is also prefect of the MRC of Arthabaska. The cycle track of the linear Parc of the Wood-Francs, which belongs to the network of the green road, passes near the municipality.
