Saint-Vaast-the-Hougue

Saint-Vaast-the-Hougue is a common French, located in the department of the Manche and the area Basse-Normandie.
Geography
Located on the east coast of north cotentin Saint-Vaast-the-Hougue shelters a Marina.With approximately a kilometer of the coast, the island Tatihou belongs to the commune of Saint-Vaast-the-Hougue. It is accessible to foot with low tide and an amphibious boat ensures a regular connection with the port. A tower was set up there in 1694 per Benjamin de Combes, raises Vauban.
In the south, the fort of Hougue, also built in 1694 per Benjamin de Combes, became a military base opened once per annum to the public at the time of the days of the inheritance.
