Saint-Trojan-the-Baths

Saint-Trojan-the-Baths is a common French, located in the department of the Charente-Maritime and the area Poitou-Charentes.

Geography

The commune of Saint-Trojan-the-Baths is located at the South of the Île of Oléron. Most of its territory is covered by a forest (made up in particular of maritime pines). The majority of the buildings and constructions are in the East of the commune. It is in the South of the commune that is the Pertuis of Maumusson, which separates the island from the Presqu'île of Arvert. Saint-Trojan-the-baths is a seaside resort; a tourist train crosses the forest of is in west.

History

Scission of part of the commune in 1951 to create the Large-Village-Beach.
