Saint-Samson is a common French, located in the department of the Mayenne and the area Pays of the Loire.
According to the book of the Abbot Angot, St Samson was a parking and crossing point (where the church is) Templiers. One there also learns that the poor were to pay the size with the lords and that Mathurin Laisne, collector, often recovered the money by the threat. In 1770, the Quenout vicar did not want to confess it as long as it would not have returned the sums perceived. Mathurin Laisne was thus buried without song nor prayers. At the time of the construction of the railway Alençon - Domfront, one drew from the paving stones of a porphyry seam of the village of Gourie. One made use of it to build bridges, stations and a staircase leading to the station of Pre-in-Pail.
