Saint-Samson-on-rancid

Saint-Samson-on-Rancid is a common French, located in the department of the Coast-with Armor and the area Brittany.

Geography

Located on the edges of Rancid, near Dinan, with a score of kilometers of Dinard and Saint-Malo, with one hour of Saint-Brieuc and Rennes.

History

The presence of the beautiful menhir of Tremblais leaves think that the places were inhabited at least since the Neolithic .

The parish of Saint-Samson-is next to-Livet, wedged in the évêché of Saint-Malo belonged to the deanery of concerning Fraud évêché of Fraud and was under the term of Saint Samson.

After having taken the name of Saint-Samson, the parish is set up in commune in 1790. The July 25th 1962 the commune is re-elected under the name of Saint-Samson-on-Rancid
