Saint-Quentin market

the Market Saint-Quentin is a Parisian Marché covered , located in the Xe district. It is with the angle of the Rue of Chabrol, the Boulevard of Magenta and the Rue of the Small-Hotels. It was built in 1866.

It is built out of crossed pink bricks of green cast iron arcades. The heart of the market has an air of place of village.

Before, one had built, in 1835, in the fields of the architect Philippon and on the site of old the fair the St. Lawrence , a market which one called the St. Lawrence . It was a market of 44 meters out of 14, whose top was occupied by workshops of painters decorators.

Inaugurated in August 1936, it was demolished in 1852, during the boring of the Boulevard of Strasbourg and was replaced by the current market, a little more in north.
