Dom Jean Mabillon (+ 1707), monk Benedictine and scholar were born in Saint-Pierremont. He is the founder of diplomatic, science attached to the studies of the acts. He was monk with Saint-Remi of Rheims then with Saint-Germain of the Meadows where he is buried.
