Saint-Pierre-on-Erve

Saint-Pierre-on-Erve is a common French, located in the department of the Mayenne and the area Pays of the Loire.

Geology and geography

With the northern limit of the commune, Schist S and quarzites of the base of the Dévonien, which succeed the base of the sandstone Orthis Monnieri , passing to the north of the borough and supporting the schists and Calcaire S dévoniens which crosses this one. These various bases succeed, while going towards the south, of the schists and limestones carboniferous.

The territory, located on Right Bank of the Erve, which forms its limit Is, is, in the vicinity of the river and especially close to the borough, montueux and escarpé, the valley being tightened enough there. The road of Laval to the Mans passed by Saint-Pierre-on-Erve in 1513. History
