Saint-Paulet-of-box

Saint-Paulet-of-Box is a common French, located in the department of the Gard and the area Languedoc-Roussillon. Its inhabitants are called the Pauletois Saint and the Pauletoises Saint.

Places and monuments

  • the Castle : Old residence of the counts de Gabriac, the castle was dismembered during the French revolution. Some traces (a watch tower in particular) still testify to its existence on some houses close to the church.
  • the church : Built at the end of the 19th century to the site of the preceding church (become too exiguous) it shelters relics of Holy-Placidie. One of the two bells of the building was molten in 1597.

  • the Vault Holy-Agnes : Located at the north of the village, it is of Romance Style of Provence. Classified historic building since 1974, it is used as place of exposure.

  • Chartreuse de Valbonne

  • a Christ in Cross : At the southern entry of the city since 1985, it was initially in the village. Other crosses are present on the territory of the commune.

  • a statue of the Virgin : Coming from Chartreuse de Valbonne, it is gone back to 1870.

  • the fountain Saint-Paul : Surmounted by the statue of Saint-Paul, the fountain distributes spring water of Field-Cauffé.

  • the oratory Saint-Joseph : Of Gothic Style, it is him also resulting from Chartreuse de Valbonne. It dates from the 19th century.
