The Cathédrale Saint-Paul of Liege was in the beginning only one of the seven Collégiale S inhabitants of Li2ege (Saint-Pierre, Holy-Cross, ''' Saint-Paul ''', Midsummer's Day, Saint-Denis, Saint Martin's day, St. Bartholomew's Day Massacre).

It founded at the 10th century, rebuilt 13th at the 15th century and was restored in the middle of the 19th century. The Abside built at the 14th century in radiant style is of pentagonal form. The Chorus (architecture), the Transept, large the Nave and the side aisles date from the 13th century and present all the characters of the Gothic primary. The secondary Gothic is found in fenestrations of the transept, the high windows of the vessel, the side Chapelle S and the tower. The higher gallery, overloaded pinnacles with hooks, is modern, as the stage with ogival windows and the arrow of the Clocher, alongside of four pinnacles. The lintel of the gate carries an inscription which was reproduced formerly on the Sceau of the city: Sancta Legia Ecclesiae Romanae Filia (holy Liege, girl of the Roman Church).

It became a Cathédrale at the 19th century because of the destruction of the cathedral Saint-Lambert in 1795.
