Saint-Pathus
Saint-Pathus is a common French, located in the department of Seine-et-Marne and the area Île-de-France.

Geography
The commune of Saint-Pathus belongs to the Canton of Dammartin-in-Goële, the Circonscription of Meaux, and of the Département of Seine-et-Marne. Located at the north of the department, its territory confines the South of the department of the Oise. It comprises a sports complex, 42 associations (sporting, cultural, social…), a ground multi-sports, a recreational center, a village hall (Thousand Club), two school complexes (Charles-Perrault and Antonio-Vivaldi), engineering services, the PAJ (Not of Reception Youth), an municipal police and 20 km of roadway system.

History
(Sanctus Patusius)The locality of Saint-Pathus bears the name of a priest of virtuous famous life which was named bishop of Meaux into 684 and died the day of its election.

Originating in Senlis, it went to Meaux by lot of mileage which the queen Brunehilde had just done to build, by requesting God to move away the miter (triangular hairstyle range by the bishops) from its head and was exaucé. It expired way making by blessing the town of Meaux which had elected it. It is at the place where he died that lord Guillaume of the Bars, lord of the area, made him build a church that he placed under his patronage (in 1102). The village which was formed around the crowned place took the name of the Saint thereafter

Religious heritage
Saint-Pathus has a church considered as one of the “jewels” of the Seine-et-Marne dating from the 12th century, built in the Romance style and cistercian, rather rare fact in Île-de-France. The church was restored in style neogothic in 1872, losing a little its originality first.
