the convent of Cordeliers built, with the door of Charlieu, after a fierce combat between the Benedictines (black Monks) lords of Charlieu and Cordeliers of philosophy franciscaine in opposition to the Benedictines who exist only for the greatest glory of God. Franciscains Cordeliers are monks preachers and the really poor… the cloister of the convent of the 15th century is the largest cloister franciscains remaining in Europe.Ce was a miracle which it does not disappear in 1910. It was indeed sold to an antique dealer who had to resell it to an American richissime. The cloister was dismounted, put in cases and on coaches, when its classification as historic building was established, by the keen work of Senator AUDIFFRED. (This last offered to the Company Friends Arts of Charlieu which had been created, the house known as of the Spur old vault of the abbot).

One finds there also the castle of the Jobin Barn to knowing a large middle-class masonry surrounded by a park of 7 ha. Built in 1900 per Mr. VADON, the castle profits from a pretty sight on the plain of CHARLIEU and ST HILAIRE; At the time, a water part was in against bottom and made it possible to walk by boat. Mr VADON was a banker but also profited from his vines to produce a local wine there. The small masonry located at the end of the wall of enceine of the property sheltered the personnel of the vine. In 1951 Mr. VADON sells the property at the work's council of the E.D.F. which in fact a vacation center. Little time after in 1959, it is the Orphanage Mutualist of the National police force which always acquires the good with the profit of a vacation center.

In 1988 the property is again sold to a private individual who occupies from now on the castle.
