Saint-Michel-Chief-Chief is a common French, located in the department of Loire-Atlantique and the area Pays of the Loire.
The common belongs to the historical Brittany, in the traditional country of the Pays of Retz and in the historical country of the Nantes Pays.
Its inhabitants are called the Michelois and the Micheloises .
The commune also includes/understands the seaside resort of Tharon-Beach.
It has been a Seaside resort attended enough by the tourists and already holds the blue house for a few years. Its beaches are the ideal place for fishing with foot.

History
There exist several assumptions when with the formation of the current name of Saint-Michel-Chief-Chief:- It could come from Saint-Michel of Chevecier Chef (of the name of a religious dignity which placed in a cheffery).
- It could also come from Terra de Chevesché , the old name of the Pointe Saint-Gildas near.
One found potteries Neolithic era on the site of the pond of Gâtineaux. Like some menhir in north, close to the forest of Roussellerie.
It is reported that Saint Michel was a Léproserie at the 4th century.
About 1104, Garsire de Retz gave the church to the Saint-Serge abbey of Angers.
Saint-Michel-Chief-chief belonged to the châtellenie, baronnie, then duchy-peerage of Retz.
During the Revolution, Saint Michel was débaptisé, and took the name of Fine sands.
