Saint-Martin-with-Valgalgues is a common French, located in the department of the Gard and the area Languedoc-Roussillon.

Its inhabitants are called Saint Martinois

Geography

Located in the periphery of Ales, it was an important industrial town especially thanks to the extraction of the coal. Its urbanization is of aired type, it developed around the hamlets of Sauvagnac, Drulhes, the Shoe, Lavabreille, the Plain of Sermeil.

Realized by the Community of Agglomeration of Large Ales, the mechanical pole is located on the commune of Saint Martin de Valgalgues on the site of old mines.

History

Located on the passage of the way Regordane, Saint Martin's day de Valgualgues was a seigniory belonging, of 18th with the commander of Saint-Christol.
