Saint Martin's day - Vésubie (in Occitan Niçois Sant Martin de Lantosca marked mar' Ti of lan' tusko), is a common French, located in the department of the the Alpes-Maritimes and the area Provence-Alp-Coast of Azure. Its inhabitants is the Saint-Martinois . In the old texts the village is called Saint Martin's day - Lantosque .
These characteristics are worth to him its nickname of “Switzerland niçoise”. The village rises with the junction of two alpine torrents, that of the Madonna of Fenestrate in the East, and of Boréon in the West. Vésubie is born under the village.
Second electrified village of France (1893), Saint-Martin-Vésubie preserved his electric factory in the buildings of the Museum of the traditions vésubiennes, where also the old communal mills are (15th century). All the aspects of the inheritance of Vésubie are presented there on 400 m ² exposure.
With the foot of the collar of Fenestrate, the sanctuary of the Madonna of Fenestrate protects the pilgrims and travellers. Exceptional site (1 950 meters), in the middle of the National park of Mercantour, it allows great excursions until in Italy (1 hour of walk).
Boréon, around its lake (1 500 meters), also offers a large variety of excursions, to the Cherry collar (Cirieigia) on the Italian border (2 hours 30 of walk). Recently, the Center Alpha presents a new sénovision on the wolf, which one can watch for the packs in the adjacent sénoparc.
Of Saint-Martin-Vésubie can be visited the villages neighborhood of Venanson (with its painted medieval vault), of Valdeblore (its church of the Year Millet), of Belvédère (high festive place of the Comté of Nice) and of Roquebillière (its church of Templiers).
