The commune of saint-March-of-Cost is located close to the Lac of Large-Place, with a score of kilometers in the South-west of Nantes.
History
The manor of Saint-March is a building of XVesiècle which rises along the river of Held and which made it possible to supervise the river traffic.
At the time of the Wars of the Vendée, Saint Mars of Cost, as all the remainder of the Pays of Retz, took party for the Vendean insurrection. A local small landed proprietor, Lucas of Championnière, owner of the manor of Couetis were combatant in the army catholic and royal and companion of the chief Cart, he was a memorialist of the Vendean insurrection.

. The Port Making, crossing point on the river of Held, between Holy Pazanne and Saint Mars of Cost: As of the Middle Ages, the monks establish a vat there.
