Saint-Marc is a town of Haiti. It is the second most important city of the department of the Artibonite. The population is approximately 100.000 people.

Saint-Marc is also the sub-prefecture of a Arrondissement of the same name. The district includes/understands three communes: Saint-Marc, Verrettes, and the Vault.

The city is located on the site of an old Indian village Taino, called Amany-i. The date of safondation goes back to 1695 by the French who had colonized the western part of the island of Haiti.
