It is also known that Jacques (Jaume, into of Provence) Guard became lord of Marc Saint towards 1490, and that Dauphine Guard married towards 1510 Bertrand de Puget (family of the area of Brignoles/Saint Maximin). A stop of December 27th, 1592 of the Parliament of Aix (favorable to the League) prescribed the destruction of the castles of Cabriès, Meyreuil and Saint Marc (because their lords were rejoined in Henri IV, of which the troops, ordered by the Duc of Epernon, threatened Aix). The seigniory of Marc Saint is set up in baronnie at the 17th century and is sold in 1723 with a family of advisers at the Parliament of Provence Meyronnet. Philippe de Meyronnet will accommodate Lucien and Joseph Bonaparte in 1784-85.
