History

Because of its presence on a border which knew many disappearances and of the rebirths, Saint Leger had an upset history, passing from a kingdom to a republic and vice versa before finding the French Republic finally. An animated past which explains an administrative curiosity today, since the village of Leger Saint belongs to the Alpes-Maritimes, whereas its communal forest, on the solid mass opposite is located in the department of the Alps - of-High-Provence.
