Saint-Juvat

Saint-Juvat is a common department of the Coast-with Armor, in the area Brittany, in France.

Geography

History

  • At the 17th century, a small school was held by the priest in a small vault, which was contrary with the opinions of the local lord quant' to the interest to inform the people.
  • After the epidemics of 1583-1585, 1607 and 1630, Saint-Juvat is touched in 1638 by the epidemic of plague which also affects Tréfumel and Plouasne, after having prevailed with Taden in 1636. The first official victim succumbs on April 16th, 1637, but it does few of other victims compared to 116 deaths of the following year, six times approximately the median number.
