Saint-Julien-Maumont is a common French, located in the department of the Corrèze and the area the Limousin.
Under the French revolution the commune was called File-and-Monmont
The inhabitants of Saint-Julien-Maumont are " Maumontois, Maumontoises"
Geography
It is a picturesque village being divided into two sectors: on the one hand the valley of the Maumont and its first slopes where the borough is established; other, the calcareous plate where therural ones settle working on Meyssac and its surroundings or on Brive.
The common one produces mulched wine, one of its specialities.
Its territory is covered with truffle oaks and walnut trees. Recently vines for the famous wine of Branceilles were planted (common neighbor located towards the south) whose quality is due on the ground very stony and dry and with the relatively dry climate.

In 1793, the communes of Saint-Julien and Maumont amalgamate under the name of Saint-Julien-Maumont .
