Saint-Jean-of-the Island-in Orleans

Saint-Jean-of-the Island-in Orleans is a municipality in the regional Municipalité of county of Island-in Orleans with the Quebec (Canada), located in the administrative area of the Capital-Main road. It is located on the southern part of the island of Orleans.

History

Initially mission served by the priest of Holy-Family in 1680, Midsummer's Day made set up in parish in 1714. The municipality was created in 1855 under the name of Saint-Jean-Baptist and took his current name in 2003.
