The Parc Saint-Jacob (in German) is the stage of the club of Football Suisse FC Basle, located at Basle. Its nickname is Joggeli and has a capacity of approximately 42 ' 500 places in order to accommodate next the Championnat of Europe of football in 2008 which will be held in Suisse and in Austria. The stage is composed of four platforms, each platform representing a side of the stage.
This stage left ground very recently, its construction beginning the December 13rd 1998 and the first accommodated meeting the March 15th 2001. The stage was increased in 2006 (of 33 ' 000 places with the current capacity). The stage is directed by Basel United and its cost is estimated at approximately 220 Swiss francs million, including 32 stores laid out out of three stages, like two restaurants ( Restaurant UNO and Hattrick Sport Bar ). The carpark on two floors of the stage has a capacity of 680 places, this low capacity of the carpark is compensated by a joint grid system where drunk, trams and trains with the presence of a station serve the stage effectively.
The stage obtained 4 stars allotted by UEFA.
Only black spot, the stage already knew riots in 2006 between supporters of the club host FC Basle and of FC Zurich.
It will accommodate five matches during the Euro 2008 of which the match of opening and a semi-final.
