Saint-Ignace (Michigan)

Saint-Ignace is a Ville located in the American State of the Michigan. It is the seat county of Mackinac. Its population is of 2.678 inhabitants.

The city is on the coast of north of the Détroit of Mackinac, which separates the peninsulas higher and lower from Michigan. The Pont Mackinac connects Saint-Ignace to the village of Mackinaw City, on the coast of south of the strait.

Saint Ignace is one of the oldest cities of Michigan. The Exploring and priest French, Jacques Inlays, founded the city in 1671 and called it for Ignace de Loyola, founder of the Society of Jesus.
