Saint-Gobain WFP is a metallurgical company subsidiary of Saint-Gobain. It originates in fusion into 1970 of Pont-à-Mousson S.A. (from where initial WFP) and of Saint-Gobain.

History
Heir to the industrial tradition born with Pont-à-Mousson in the middle of the XIXe century, SAINT-GOBAIN DRAIN federates an international whole of production facilities and commercial - of which SAINT-GOBAIN WFP in France - in the Branch DRAIN of Group SAINT-GOBAIN.
Founded in 1856, present since more than one century in Europe and as of 1937 in South America, SAINT-GOBAIN DRAIN extends its international establishment in Asia in 1997, then in South Africa in 1998.

the 1854 industrial adventure of the Company begins in Lorraine with the discovery from the layer from iron ore from Marbache, in Meurthe-et-Moselle.
- the 1856 first industrial society exploiting a factory established in the commune of Pont-à-Mousson is founded.
- the 1866 first cast iron pipe leaves the production lines of the factory of Pont-à-Mousson.
- the 1886 creation of the Public limit company of the Blast furnaces and Foundries of Pont-à-Mousson completes to forge the identity of the company by affirming its core activity: the Foundry.
- 1928 the process of casting of the cast iron by centrifugation, faster and regular, succeeds vertical casting in the manufacture of the drains and contributes to their mass production.
- 1948 the use of the ductile pig iron, equipped with a very high doubled yield stress of a great tensile strength as with the shocks, spreads.
- 1960 the modernization of the installations, the processes and the products continues:
- 1970 a series of decisive changes is applied to the modes of production:
- 1980 the world deployment of the Branch DRAIN intensifies, in particular in Spain and Great Britain.
New lines of products are launched:
- a system of drains of reference as regards cleansing,
- of the famous gate valves intended for the markets of the cycle of water.
- the 2000 change of company name of the whole of the companies of the Branch DRAIN reinforces the international cohesion of Group SAINT-GOBAIN.
- a system of drains to exceptional anti-corrosion resistance for the drinking water adduction,
- a system of evacuation pipes of surface waters for the cleansing,
- of the compact units combining the functions of taps (robvannetype3) and connections for the valves and fittings fontainery,
- of the glances of roadway for the roadway system,
- a system of rain evacuation to movement siphoïde for the building.
- 2001 WFP: A common world mark.
