Saint-Germain-of-Lime pit is a common French, located in the department of Saône-et-Loire and the area Burgundy.

Geography

Saint Germain of the Lime pit is a village located at the south of Burgundy (15 km of Châlon-sur-saône) and at the doors of the Bresse (20 km of Louhans)

Small village bressane in the south of Burgundy of a surface of 1900 hectares and 1842 inhabitants (with the last census); years 2004,2005 were and 2006 are one year of demographic strong progression (today the population exceeds the 2100 inhabitants).

In the agricultural beginning village and although the acreage is stable, the number of exploitations is in strong reduction.

We find trade of proximity there, the schools, the college, doctors, pharmacy… as well as a small artisanal zone where six companies are established.

The regrouping of the security services of the territory (gendarmerie) is established with Saint-Germain-of-Lime pit.
