History

The November 21st 1967 the ASS Tennis shoe and the Poppy Athletics amalgamate in general sports club, thus giving rise to the BOX: Athletic Club of Saint-Etienne. The professional section changes name into 2006 to become Saint-Etienne Basket, whereas the BOX amateur continues its activitées. At the conclusion of the season 2006-2007 (in Pro B, the National management of Control of Management refuses to re-enlist the team for a new exercise as a Pro B, before a transferee (Jean-Sebastien Paquet, local industrialist) does not give the necessary guarantees during July.
