Saint-Egreve
Saint-Egreve is a common French, located in the department of the Isere and the area the Rhone-Alps. The commune which is located at the North-West of Grenoble belongs to the Communauté of agglomeration Grenoble the Alps Métropole. Its inhabitants is called Saint-Égrèvois.
Geography
The town of Saint-Egreve is located at the North-West of Grenoble and the North of the Grenoble-native agglomeration. The commune is surrounded in the east by the Massif of Chartreuse and in the West by the river Isere. The Néron mountain of 1298 meters altitude overhangs a good portion of the limits Is city. In the South Grenoble, that Saint-Egreve touches in a point on the level of the Isere, and Saint-Martin-the-Vinoux form the limits. The city shelters the Barnave house where Antoine Barnave remained.This masonry, old strong house of Visencour, is acquired and transformed by the father of Antoine Barnave in the middle of the XVIIIe century. Appointed with the constituent Assembly, compromised in the escape of the royal family with Varenne, Antoine Barnave is stopped there in 1792. This house, whose roof is again modified at the XIXe century, shelters a library today.
