Saint-Claude is a common French, located in the department of the the Jura and the area Franche-Comté.
Located at the foot of the plate X of the the Jura, with the Confluent of the Bienne and the Parr, Saint-Claude is the capital of the the High-Jura. It is a very boxed city.
The city develops initially around a founded Monastère at the beginning of the 5th century by Romain and Lupicin. It is first of all called Saint-Oyend-of-Joux, of the name of the Abbé Oyend which increases the radiation of the monastery.
