Saint-Cirq-Lapopie

Saint-Cirq-Lapopie is a common French, located in the department of the Lot in the area the Midday-Pyrenees in Quercy.
Its inhabitants is called Saint-Cirquois.
Geography
Commune located at 30 km in the East of Cahors in the middle of the Regional natural park of Causses of Quercy,
The village Médiéval overhangs the Lot.
History
There was perhaps a Pompéjac romaine.Later, three families shared the Seigneurie. This triple seigniory was not without posing some problems at the time of the Croisade against the Albigensians.

The pilgrimage of Compostelle
On the Via Podiensis of the Pilgrimage of Saint-Jacques-to-Compostelle .One comes from Cabrerets, the next commune is Cahors , the cathedral Saint-Etienne and the Pont Valentré.

One of the more beautiful villages of France

It is one of the tourist places of the Batch. Saint-Cirq-Lapopie is a village-museum almost entirely classified and well-known of the artists, of which André Breton, which settled with old the Auberge of the Marines .
