18th century

1709: Extreme cold winter which destroys corn, vines, trees, cattle. People die of the disette.
1720: 650 habitants.
1760: The borough includes/understands the church with the cemetery and 4 houses: that of the priest, that of a angevin always absent, the cabaret and the residence of a young lady of charity. The inhabitants, in majority closiers and plowmen live in the middle of near, moors and wood. A wet cooper, a miller and some perreyeurs. But the small trades will develop before Révolution.
1772: First school in the bourg.
1776: Construction of the castle of Pignerolle for the account of a middle-class rich person angevin, Marcel April of Pignerolles, rider of the Large stable of the King and lord of Pignerolle.
1779: Black year, an epidemic of dysentery kills 40 people on 750.
1787: First election of the members of the municipal assembly. Notable and landowners will meet under the elm of the église.
1789: The inhabitants elect two deputy at the general meeting of the province having to designate the deputies of the National Assembly. Drafting of a register of grievances (taxes, justice, hunting rights, crop protection plundered by the perreyeurs, right of hospitalization in Angers…) Election of a deputy at the anti committee gabelle (tax on salt). St-Barthelemy (of the Moors) becomes " Good Air" . Children of Masters angevins are as a nurse in the small estates. The first mayor of St Barthelemy belongs to the canton of Samson.
1791: The first midwife settles with the borough (for the first doctor, to wait until 1950)
1793:
- Appearance of sworn the populaires.
- Participation in the work of national defense, armament of the citizens, requisition for the army of Loire.
- The Vendean ones pass to the bourg.
- The goods of the Church are sold like national goods (the Barn, Pignonière, the chaplaincy, Claverie, Cressonnière and the presbytery)

19th century

1806: The dwellings multiply, the middle-class has the grounds and the commune is completely stripped. To pay thepastoral in charge one of the prevention of the plundering of the cultures, a tax is raised on all the nonclosed properties. 20th century

1900: First fire pump (the Co of firemen will be dissolved in 1941).
1904: Election of Rene Bazin with the Council municipal.
1908: The speed of the cars is limited to 12 km/h in the bourg.
1909: Election of Joseph Couderc of St Chamant to the head of the municipalité.
1914: One counts nine cabarets on the commune.
1914- 1918: The Great War makes 55 victimes.
1922: New name " St. Bartholomew's Day Massacre d' Anjou" proposed by the municipal council by decree présidentiel.
1923: Electrification of the commune (municipal buildings only).
1927: Construction of the working city of Lignerie to place the carriers working with the salte quarries of Trélazé.
1928: Permanent excess speeds in the borough, limit carried to 20 km/h.
1930:
- 2000 habitants.
- Resignation of the mayor Joseph Couderc of St Chamant, replaced by Gaston de Beauchamp.
1932: death of the Academician Rene Bazin.
1935: Election of Louis Lipreau as Mayor of St-Barthélemy.
1939:
- W. Raczkiewicz, president of the Republic of Poland, resides at Pignerolle. St-Barthelemy becomes for 2 years the capital of the Poland.
- Formation of the 125 IH to the Castle of Pignerolle.
1940: Departure of the Polish government. The German kriegsmarine settles for 4 years with the château.
1939 - 1945: 8 killed and 44 prisoners on the commune at the time of the guerre.
1944: An American plane is cut down by the German d.c.a opposite the castle of Pignerolle.
1954: 2500 habitants.
1976: 8000 habitants.
1982: Construction of the new town hall, inaugurated in 1984.
1987: 10.000 habitants
