Exit of the regrouping, about the year 1000, of several villae, the parish of Saint-Apollinaire was managed by an officer of the Saint-Benign abbey of of Dijon, called the prior of Saint-Apollinaire . A church with chorus in bottom of furnace and bands lombardes was built at that time probably by Guillaume de Volpiano (which at that time built the Rotunda of its abbey in the same style) on the basis of vault old attested at the time Carolingian, but whose legend makes go up the existence with Sainte Clotilde, in 500, at the time of the battle of Dijon brought back by Gregoire Large the which opposed Clovis and the king burgonde.

This church was, with the Moyen-âge, the place of a pilgrimage around its miraculous well, in which were plunged sick seeds or members, and who brought, by the intercession of Saint Apollinaire, fruitfulness and cure. The relics of the saint were transported by the monks of Saint-Benign in all the Burgundy in order to promote the Paix of God.

The priory of Saint-Apollinaire , localized in the north of the street of November 11th was destroyed at the time of the wars of religion. The load of prior survived however until the 18th century.

At the 15th century, Jean de Martigny, prosecutor, made strengthen a franc-freehold by construction of a tower and the installation of ditches and of a drawbridge, at the origin of the current town hall. A hexagonal tower, emblem of the current commune, was built by Guillaume Tabourot at the 16th century in the court. The drawbridge was destroyed at the 18th century.

The fort of Redoute, located at the limit between the communes of Saint-Apollinaire and Dijon, is a place of walk today.

The statue of the Noah father, whose origin remains mysterious, but which is attested as of the 19th century, was recently moved at the Eastern end of the " run verte" in order to allow the construction of several allotments the south of the Sully farm, splendid farm of the 16th century.
