Saint-Andre-the-gas

Saint-Andre-the-Gas is a common French, located in the department of the Isere and the area the Rhone-Alps.

It is resulting from fusion towards 1790 of the communities of Saint-Andre-the-Fen and the Gas-the-Fen. The term of Gaz comes from the ford or gua which allowed in this place to cross Bourbre, before Bonaparte, on the way for the countryside of Italy did not order to build a bridge there.

The station is a rail junction (junction towards Grenoble and Chambéry)
