In Saint-Ambreuil is the site of the Abbaye of Ferté which is a Abbaye Cistercien, located with Ferté-on-Grosne, a locality of the commune. It is the first of the four girls abbeys of Cîteaux.
The castle of Ferté of the XVIIe century is the old abbey home of the abbey.
