Saint-Alban (Quebec)

Saint-Alban is a municipality in the regional Municipalité of county of Portneuf to the Quebec (Canada), located in the administrative area of the Capital-Main road.

The vast territory of Saint-Alban includes/understands several dairy farms in its southern part crossed by the river Holy-Anne, and is covered with forests and lakes in its northern part. Several Cave S and shelters - under - rock make of it an appreciated place of the Spéléologue S.

History

The first colonists arrived towards 1830 and the catholic parish founded in 1856, was detached from Saint-Joseph-of Deschambault. In 1918, the village (core) and the parish separate, as it was current at that time, for refusionner in 1991.
