The sailplane of dead the is a imaginary Spaceship of the televised series Stargate.
This vessel of attack Goa' uld in two places can fight in the space and the atmosphere of a planet. Thanks to its great handiness and to its two powerful weapons, this vessel is very well adapted to face the fighter plan and the enemies on the ground. Released by the vessel-mothers of the Goa' uld, it is their best military asset.
Technical dossier
The sailplane of death, a vessel of very effective and general-purpose attack, moves easily in the space vacuum or the atmosphere of a planet, and easily changes course to answer the shooting of an adversary. In spite of its effectiveness, the sailplane of dead can be destroyed by the direct blow of a ground-to-air missile. The larger ships, like the vessel-mothers goa' uld and land X-302, also have a sufficient firepower to destroy a sailplane of death.
Cockpit
The sailplane of death comprises two cockpits. Each pilot can activate the orders of flight, the weapons of edge, or send an air-to-ground message.
Modifications
Since Teal' C joined laughed Tau', the sailplane of died of Apophis are equipped with a secret device of remote-controlled recall which makes it possible to make them return to their fleet of origin. Even if the vessel is captured, the device bipasse the orders of flight and diffuses a threatening message, recorded by Apophis.
Armament
The sailplane of death is equipped with two guns goa' uld with energy which are twice larger than the long-sticks Jaffa standard. When a gun is activated, its head is divided into four, and projects a ray of plasma. The weapon is supplied by naquadah liquid. One can aim manually, or while making use of the trip computer.

Two Sailplanes of Death were studied in the Zone 51 and were modified to be used against the Goa' uld in the case of a probable attack against the Ground. This Sailplane of Death was lost when Jack O' Neill and Teal' C tested the modifications to carry out by the engineers of the Zone 51 because the sailplane of death was sabotaged by Apophis.The team SG-1 discovered that the Sailplanes of Dead could function under water when they used them to escape from the flagship of Anubis which had been crushed on Ground. This same mission made it possible SGC to acquire two new Sailplanes of Death.
