Dissent is a quarterly Revue intellectual American published in New York, directed by Michael Walzer and Mitchell Cohen. It was created in the Années 1950 in double reaction against the Maccarthysme and the Communisme.

It is politically located in the mobility of the left liberal American and accommodates contributions resulting from various sensitivities of the left.

One finds there in particular the feathers of Paul Berman or Todd Gitlin.
