In the Islam, the plural term sahaba (rear RTL صحابة,) designates the companions of the prophet Mahomet. The Arab singular in is “Sahābīy” (RTL rear صحابي being translated into French by “friend, companion”. Sahābī is that which met the prophet Mahomet, supported it and strengthened in its mission, and mouru believing. Sahâba are thus the first to have accepted Islam, to have learned the behavior from the Moslem, and finally to propagate the message of the Prophet after his death.
