Safety belt
The safety belt is a device making it possible to attach the passengers of a vehicle, to limit their movements at the time of a shock. Thus, the occupants of a moving traffic abruptly losing speed at the time of a shock, are not projected against obstacles by the kinetic energy which they received from the vehicle which transports them.

The most current safety belt was invented by the Nile Bohlin and was introduced in 1959 into the Volvo Amazon.
The legislation of France, by its highway code, obliges all the passengers of a car to being attached, as well with before with the back of the vehicle. It should be noted that during the years 1960, it was prohibited.
To save lives
The safety belt can save the life of that which sticks with like that of the other passengers on board of a car. A study having appraised the damage caused by the people not attached after an accident, concluded that if a passenger does not fasten his seat belt, the risk of death for the other passengers during an accident is more important.
With the back, the safety belt is likely to prevent nearly two thirds of the deaths.
