Saeed Al-Ghamdi

Saeed Al-Ghamdi (in Arabic: سعيدالغامدي) was identified by FBI as being one of the hijackers of the Vol 93 of United Airlines which took share with the terrorist attack of the September 11th, 2001. The FBI also identified the other terrorists of this same flight as being: Ziad Jarrah, Ahmed Al-Haznawi and Ahmed Al-Nami.

Al-Ghamdi was originating in the province of Al Bahah in Saudi Arabia, it belonged to the same tribe as the hijackers Hamza Al-Ghamdi and Ahmed Al-Haznawi. These men were identified like more the extremists of the group of the terrorists of 11-September.

Al-Ghamdi is originating in the town of Abha, and did not obtain diplomas during its schooling. It seems to have been in liaison with the other future hijackers as of 1999. Al Ghamdi spent its time in the province of Al Qasim in Saudi Arabia where it changed college before cutting all contacts with its family. For this period, it probably met the radical preacher Sulayman Al Alwan like the other future hijackers.

Saeed left to fight in Chetchnia because at that time Tchétchènes recruited combatants and much of them finished in the camps of drives of Al-Qaeda in Afghanistan before fighting as Chetchnia. Saeed entered to the Al Farouq camp and it met Ahmed Al-Nami, her Wail brother like Waleed Al-Shehri. The four decided to enter in Jihad in spring 2000 a ceremony chaired by Wail, Saeed will adoubera to him even Abu Mossaeb Al-Janubi in remembering one of the companion of the Prophète.

Saeed was known of Tawfiq bin Attash, this last is suspected of having convinced it to become a martyr. Saeed, at that time, worked as security guard with Waleed Al-Shehri with the airport of Kandahar.

At the end of 2000, Saeed travelled to the the United States by the company United Arab Emirates, it bought accounts - paid travellers' checks seems it by Mustafa Ahmed Al-Hawsawi. Five other hijackers will pass by UAE and will buy accounts - travellers' checks like Majed Moqed, Wail Al-Shehri, Hamza Al-Ghamdi, Ahmed Al-Haznawi and Ahmed Al-Nami.

November 13rd, 2000, a person of the name of Saeed Al-Ghamdi tried to obtain a visa of entry for the the United States but its request was refused. The board of inquiry of September 11th to date does not have any certainty which it is about the same person.

In March 2001, Saeed was filmed in a video of good-bye diffused on Al-Jazeera. In this video, the future terrorists of September 11th appear in it and swear to become martyrs without saying how. Saeed treats the the United States enemies and seems to study a chart and a handbook of vol.
