Saduq Ibn Babuyeh

Ibn Babuyeh Qommi , called Shaykh Sadûq is an Iranian Shiite theologist born before 940 and died in 991 in Ray, close to Teheran.

He was the Master of Shaykh Mofid and Ibn Shadhan.

Author of almost 300 works, only some works among most important arrived to us. It is primarily about receuils of Hadith S and akhbâr of the twelve Imam S:

  • the Book of that which does not have a doctor close to him
  • Sources of the history of Imam Al-Reza , receuil in 2 volumes containing the teaching of VIIe and VIIIe imâms.
  • the Kitab Al-I' tiqâdât , or is written the symbol of the Platonic faith Shiite and the proposals on the preexistence and the fall of the heart.
  • the Kitab Al-Tawhid (the Book of Single) in 65 chapters, summons hadiths Imams on the assertion of the Tawhid and the compatibility of theologies positive and negative according to the saints Imams.
  • the Kitab Al Majalis , treated gnosis Shiite, one of the sources of the school shaykhie.
  • Kamal Al-ghayba , containing the sources major relating to the hagiography of the Imam hidden.
  • the Khisâl , receuil containing hadiths devoted to the “properties and virtues” of the arithmosophic series rythmant the series of universe.
