Sadaijin

The sadaijin (, literally: minister of left), with the Udaijin (, minister of right-hand side), constitutes the second rank of civils servant of the imperial government organized according to the laws of the era Taihō of 702.

At that time, there are in all eight ranks of civils servant themselves divided into levels, plus one of beginning, the Dajō-daijin (), Minister for the supreme businesses, or Prime Minister.
