The sad Martin ( Acridotheres tristis ) is a bird close to the Mainate of the family of the Sturnidae. He lives and reproduces in the tropical part of the south of the Asia since the Afghanistan until in India while passing by the Sri Lanka.

He extended his field towards the south-east of Asia and was introduced largely into other countries like the South Africa, Israel, Hawaii, the North America (in particular south of the Florida), the Australia, the New Zealand and the United Arab Emirates.

This sparrow is in abundance in wood sparse, the fields and around the dwellings. It builds its nest in a hole of wall or tree trunk. It brooded from 4 to 6 eggs.
