the Sad End of the small child Oyster and other stories ( The Melancholy Death off Oyster Servant boy & Other Stories ) is a collection of poems writes in 1997 by the American scenario writer Tim Burton.
In this work, Tim Burton tells short stories on children - monsters, such Stain Boy (the Child Stains), Brie Servant boy (the Child Brie) or thread-like Match Girl (Match). Each one of these stories - hardly longer than ten towards - is written in a way absolutely monstrous, dreadful, almost sad, but with a good amount of black Humor. Thus, James, the little boy disfigured by a grizzli, sees himself offering for Christmas a Teddy bear…
The history of each one of these children often ends in his death, tragedy and yet funny (humor used extends from the irony to the black laughter).
Besides this translation leaves something to be desired with respect to freedoms which it takes. Indeed fidelity with the text and the rate/rhythm is often forsaken for the rhyme not always present at Burton.
Off all the super heroes,These four first towards poem Stain Boy ( Enfant Stains ) thus become awkwardly:
the strangest one by far,
doesn' T cuts has special power,
however drive fancy has because.
Of all the dimensioned super heroes,
strangest, and of much,
nor louse-
does not have to see special nor grooved car.
